Description

Festive service with Bishop Ivo Muser: 50 years of the Parish of Seis
Performed by: Parish choir, men’s choir, and brass band
Followed by a reception

With the decree of Bishop Joseph Gargitter, the curate of Seis am Schlern was elevated to the Parish of the Holy Cross of Seis am Schlern on Sunday, November 24, 1974 – on the Feast of Christ the King. This elevation was celebrated with a solemn service led by Auxiliary Bishop Heinrich Forer.

At that time, the newly established parish had 1,450 inhabitants. Arthur Werth was the first pastor of Seis. The curate council, elected on December 3, 1972, and chaired by Oswald Burgauner, simultaneously became the parish council of Seis. In 1975, the first parish council of Seis was then elected.

THE ENTIRE PARISH COMMUNITY, ASSOCIATIONS, AND GROUPS ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO CELEBRATE THIS SPECIAL OCCASION.
