The Kastelruther Spatzen received lots of awards and prizes. In order to show the trophies and souvenirs to the numerous fans, the trumpeter of the group, Walter Mauroner, had a special idea: he created a museum dedicated to the successful history of the band, the Kastelruther Spatzen Museum.
The small museum is situated in Castelrotto in Via Dolomiti 21a, in the basement of the fanshop "Spatzenladen" and comprises seven rooms, each of them dedicated to a different theme, as "The beginnings" or "Gold: the 100th". The decoration and the furniture date back to the 18th century.
But the museum does not expose just awards. There are also original fan gifts and the Castelrotto honorary citizenship certificate conferred to the musicians. A highlight in the museum is the "Diamond Trophy", a 2008-prize for 15 millions of sold records!
