Tagusa (Tagusens), a hamlet of the municipality of Castelrotto (Kastelruth), features a small but lovely museum, the School Museum. It introduces its visitors to the everyday life of students between 1933 and 1993. Opened in 2005, the museum was established right there where the old school of the village stood. Nowadays you can visit the original class rooms and teachers' rooms.
Also numerous items from schoolchildren from the surrounding farms can be admired. Historic school bags, blackboards or hand-written exercise books from the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire to the period of Fascism and the present day are among the exhibited objects.
