The largest high-altitude pasture of Europe is waiting for you, with all its beauty and a sea of flowers. Every year, between May and July, a unique natural highlight takes place: an endless number of flowers and grasses, including the Alpine roses, start flowering, forming an unforgettable picture.
And what does always go together with the lovely pastures in South Tyrol? A mountain hut obviously! There are lots of them spread all over the Alpe di Siusi, offering such traditional dishes as dumplings and Tyrolean “Schlutzer” wirth melted butter, “Kaiserschmarren” and “Gröstel” with meat and potatoes, or South Tyrolean speck with cheese and a homemade pastry. Numerous hiking and MTB trails take you across the Alpe di Siusi and past lovely chalets and mountain huts. Stop by and try a tasty South Tyrolean dish!
