Passo Pinei at 1,440 m a.s.l. is the starting and end point of this mountain bike tour. From here, we cycle the asphalted road down towards Ortisei in the Val Gardena until we reach the Hotel Albion, where we turn left towards Bulla and take the gravel trail. Turning right we continue our tour through meadows and then steeply upwards through the forest, until the gravel trail after about 350 m finally reaches an asphalted street, passing above the cemetery of Bulla (1,490 m). Continuing on trail no. 3 we cycle towards Alpe di Siusi, passing the Hotel Monte Piz. From there, we continue our tour on another gravel trail.
Arrived at Compaccio (1.840 m) in the component locality Alpe di Siusi of Castelrotto, we continue on trail no. 3, until we turn right at bend no. 4. From here, we cycle on gravel trail no. 10 until we reach the Marinzen mountain hut. Turning right, we take trail no. 9 towards San Michele (1,280 m), passing the Schafstall mountain hut. The last section of our tour on an asphalted road leads us back to Passo Pinei.
Information: this MTB tour offers great views of the Val Gardena, Castelrotto, the Alpe di Siusi and the Dolomites. Although the length of the tour and its altitude difference are not exaggerated, some ascents can be quite challenging since there are few shady sections!
