Starting our tour at the parking space of the tennis centre in Roncadizza near Ortisei, but still in the municipal area of Castelrotto, after 100 m up the valley we turn left and cycle through the village of Roncadizza. Arrived at the main street, which leads from Ortisei to Castelrotto, we take the gravel road in the direction of Bulla. On our way to the Alpe di Siusi (on trail no. 3) we pass the Hotel Monte Piz and turn left at the asphalted street. Soon after the Hotel Icaro we turn left again and follow a hiking path, which crosses the slope and leads up to the peak of Mt Piz.
At the mountain station of the cable car of Ortisei we continue our tour on a forest road down to the Hotel Sonne. Behind the hotel we cycle in the direction of Saltria. At the cross in the middle of a meadow, mountain bike experts can take trail no. 11 leading through the Jender valley. If you don't consider yourself an expert we recommend you to continue on trail no. 9, which leads to Saltria and finally to Santa Cristina/Val Gardena. Shortly before arriving at Santa Cristina the two trails meet again and we continue our tour on trail no. 8 until the cross above the entrance of the village of Ortisei. After turning left two times (trail no. 6 in the direction of Roncadizza) we cycle back to our starting point.
Information: this tour follows some narrow trails (especially trail no. 11 for experts). Please be aware of hikers!
